Ek Anjani Si – 4 {a lot can happen over coffee}

[For better understanding of this story refer previous parts.
Ek Anjani si - 1 { The bus girl }

So we were in the coffee shop, sitting besides each other…

The tag line of coffee shop says - “a lot can happen over coffee”.
(Well, what can happen in the public place? :P)

2 cappuccinos! please!..” - I requested the waiter (keeping in mind the budget, as CCD is not that cheaper and I am not in favor of spending money on girls)

Anything else sir!” - He asked in a manner as he is giving everything free of cost.

Before I say no, Anshika asked me- “Can I have one black forest pastry? :)

Although I wanted to say no, but I said - “yeeeaas! why not?”, with a sweet smile on my face.

“So, how is your job going on? Howz life in your company?”  Anshika asked.

Job is good.....but not the environment, not a single good looking girl in the office” – I replied.

Aha, you want girls there? “ – She winked.

I think presence of girls motivate you to work in a better way

Ha ha  ... All boys are like that only

“How many boys do you know?”

“oooooooo, someone is jealous”  she started laughing.

“Don’t laugh” I said with little anger in my voice. (A fake anger looks cute on boys.)

“Ofo Nilesh, now don’t be angry... By the way, aren't u feeling tired? After all, you are coming directly from office?”

“Ummm, you are partially correct, partially incorrect”

“Partially” – she said with a question mark in her face

“Yes, I was feeling tired, but that was the case before meeting you, now after seeing you and talking to you I am feeling refreshed”

“Nice... you never miss a chance to flirt with girls”- she smiled

“Wrong again. You can say that I never miss a chance to flirt with you, as I never flirt with (all) girls”

“Hey what do you mean? I m not a girl! How dare you say that?”

“You are, but you are a beautiful girl. I never miss a chance to flirt with a beautiful girl”- I winked and a smirk.

“Is that another way to flirt?”

“No, why you are thinking that I am flirting with you. It’s just a compliment. A sweet innocent compliment, like me”

“Ha ha... uff.. Nilesh... ha ha…You really make me laugh”

“I have given you a compliment and you are laughing”

“I am not laughing on your compliment, I am laughing on something else” - she started laughing again.
(She looks cute while laughing. I don't mind if she continued to do that. Her teeth are much brighter than the close-up girl, which I saw yesterday in TV ad.)

“Laughing on what?” I continued the conversation

“Sweet ha ha… Innocent... Do you think you are” – saying this she continued her laughing session

“Am I not?” – I asked with an innocent face

“Umm... Sweet to chalo ok... You are sweet... But innocent, nooooo way!!...”

“I am an innocent guy, Miss Anshika!” – I protested

“Ha ha... ab bus bhi karo joke marna” she laughed again
(At the same time she looks cute and cuter and cutest.
Why there are only three form of verb? If someone allows me I will introduce hundreds of new form to describe how cute she was looking… like cutie, cutu, cuteestttttttt or something like that.

Don’t think that I am crazy,
May be it was the affect of caffeine in coffee or may be it because of that coffee shop which says – a lot can happen over coffee…
So is this what they mean? Do they mix something in coffee to make people think like crazy? Is for this, they charge such high rate?)

Hey, hello, Nilesh.. kaha kho gaye? Lost?” –she asked

Yes I am lost,
 Lost in you,
Lost in your smile,
Lost in your laugh”...- I smiled

Good one... you are very good with words”

“yhe to chand lafz hai jo tumhe dekh kar nikal jate hai,
warna jazbat to maine apne sine me chupa rakhe hai”

“Oho! janab shayar bhi hai”

“I am not but if you like then I am ready to become shayar also for you, just for you”

“Nilesh, now stop it, you never miss....”

“.....a chance to flirt with girl” - I completed her sentence and she smiled back.

Hey! By the way what happened to your search for part time teaching?  Have you joined anywhere?” – She asked this boring, uninteresting question

“Umm no, not yet” - I replied (actually I had no idea what to reply, as I was not searching for any part time job. On our first meeting just to start conversation I told her that I am also looking for a part time teaching job, as she is also in the same profession.)

“Why?” – She asked

“Didn’t find any good one”

“Why don’t you join the same institute in which I am working?”

“Umm”

“Do one thing, this is the card of my institute, come there tomorrow evening” – she handed over me a visiting card

Left with no choice I said- “Ok I will”

“You are saying that you will, but your face is saying something else. You are hiding something. Tell me”

“See Anshika don’t take me wrong, but you know what”

“What?”

“I was lying that day when I said that I was interested in part time teaching”

“You liar”

“No I am not, it’s just that on that day I want to talk to you, so to start conversation, I said that I am also interested in teaching otherwise I am happy with my job…
I m happy with my life there... I really enjoy my work…
And working extra just for some penny, umm I am really not interested...
I prefer to invest that time with my friends”

“Friend or girlfriend?”- she winked

“Both” – I smiled

“Both?”

“It depend yaar... Although friends are equally important, but so as girlfriend, so after office time is for both”

“So how many girlfriends do you have?”

“Good news for you, I am single till now, searching for one”

“O hello. Nothing good for me in this... ok... I am not interested in making boyfriend”

(She looks cute even when she shows anger)
“Hey you know what”

“Now what?”

“Again you will think that I am flirting with you but I have to say this – you are damn cute, especially jab tum gussa karti ho”

“Did you say that to control my anger or to change the topic?”

“No, sacchi..You are looking cute”
,
“Thanks” – she said.
(It seems she feels happy after hearing that. This is very old trick. If you want to make girls happy, unki tariff kar do or take them to some good restaurant. Food and words are two keys to control girls)

Ding Ding…You have a text msg.
It was the sms tone of my cell.
It flashes- one new message from special
After checking the message I replied back

“Uhmm.. uhmm.. Message. Message.. kaun hai? Show me” – she asked and took my cell

“Message from special?  who is this special?”- She winked

“Anshika dear, Special is my roommate, his name is Vishesh actually, I just translated it in English as special and stored in my phonebook”

“Why so?”

“This is my way of storing my friend’s number... I never store their number by real name... I just use a different name, so that only I can understand whose number is this”

“Nice and interesting… by the way can I ask what he is saying in message?”

“He was asking that when I am coming back as they are going for dinner. So I replied that don’t wait for me, I got stuck in meeting”

“Meeting! ha ha. This is meeting.. why didn’t you tell him the truth that you are with a girl?” –she chuckled

“If I tell him so, then after reaching home he and all of my other flat mates will kill me by asking questions – which girl, what happened, and all.
That’s why I said meeting”

“And they are fool to believe that at 9 in the evening you are in meeting”

“I know they would not believe me, but I will handle that situation after reaching flat”

“Ok ok.. .By the way Its raining outside, how can I go back?”

“Then don’t go, who is telling you to go”

“Accha, then what should I do, it’s 9. I am late already”

“Are not to worry I will drop at your home... Just be patient, the rain will end soon”

“Smart, very smart you want to see my home… No way, I am not taking you to my home”

“I am also not telling you to take me to your home, just show me your house”

“No chance, ok... I can go alone” – she smiled

“Ok baba. Go alone, but at least wait for the rain to stop”
“No Nilesh, I am getting late, and anyways its Mumbai.. how much we wait, the rain will not stop, so lets go”

“Ok, baba lets go, I am happy with that also”

“Happy with what? That I am going, are you getting bored of me?”

(uff girls, I can tell you, its very hard to talk with them. Whatever you will do to please them, they will always question you, always doubt you)
“No yaar, I am happy to walk with you in rain” – I tried to defend myself

“hey , hey I am not gonna walk”

“Ofo, don’t go with words, I meant to say that I am happy to be with you, specially when its rain”

“Accha, what difference it makes, rain or no rain?”

“You will not understand, for me there is different meaning and use of rain”

“I love rain... I always feel good while it rains and there is only one meaning of rain – freshness, do you love rain?”

“Umm. I can’t say that I love rain, neither I can say that I hate rain, its depends”

“Depends on what?”

“Depends on situation”

“Situation like?”

“Situation like when I am with a girl then I love rain.. if I have to walk alone in rain then I hate it.
If because of rain I have to stuck in room alone then I hate rain, at the same times if some girl is be with me and she also get  stuck because of rain then in that case I love rain”

“Very mean you are”

“Hey I am not mean, it’s just that I love rain -terms and conditions apply”

“Terms and conditions apply ... ha ha. You are really funny. A sweet guy”

“It seems that someone is impressed by me” – I tried to flirt

“Hey come back... Ok... Don’t live in dreams, I just said that you funny and sweet. I am not impressed by you neither it’s easy to impress me”

“Challenge accepted”

“Challenge accepted??? What challenge accepted? Oh hello.. I am not challenging you”

“But I have already taken it, so just wait and watch”

“Ok... Will see. I am going now ok... Catch you later” saying this she called an auto to stop

“Hey wait wait… You just said that you will catch me later... How?  We don’t even have each others number”

“Ok” – she said and we exchanged our numbers

Instead of simply saving her number, this time I dialed the number and said
“Hey I am dialing your number”

“Why?”

“Because I need to be sure that you have given me correct number, I don’t want to be fool like last time”

“It means you don’t trust me?”

“Do you trust me?”

“No”

“So How can I?”

This little argument gave ma a chance to extend our conversation but that stupid auto wala who was waiting till now said – “Madam, chalna hai ki nahi?”

“Ha, ha bhaiya, chalo – she replied to auto wala and turned to me and said – “ Ok, will continue this later, bye for now”

“Byee”

I stand there till the time she went away from my eyesight.
There after I start walking towards the bus stand
No use to take an auto and waste 100rs and since its raining the auto wala might charge higher.
Anyways I am habitual of Mumbai bus, in fact I enjoy travelling in bus rather than going in auto. One might think that I am just giving an excuse to save money but I truly believe that the going alone in auto is worst then standing in bus in crowd.

Its almost 10 when I reached Waghbill bus stand, a stop near by my flat.
I check my mobile to check any possible message from Anshika, as expected it shows one new message, lucky I am.

I knew it
She would definitely message me.

But when I checked it, it’s from customer care
Sometimes I feel that my customer care loves me more than my entire friends
Daily I receive 4 to 6 call and equal number of messages from him
It’s like from morning when I wake up to time I sleep, my customer care remembers me.

Anyways from my side I dropped a message to Anshika – saying that I reached my flat, hope you too reached safely.

And after having dinner in a local mess I come back into my flat... its almost 10.45 till that time.
I checked my mobile once again for any possible reply from her.
But the case was same as earlier… one message from customer care, no one from her…

Being tired I was feeling sleepy but hoping that she might send some message in night, I sit in drawing room and started watching TV, so that I can avoid my sleep..

I was so busy in watching my favorite serial BIGG BOSS, that after some time when I checked my mobile I saw 4 miss calls and 20 messages form her...

Shit… shit… - I said to myself.

Initial few was just forwarded messages and the rest ones are like conversation like – what I am doing and missing you type.

I was glad...
I mean 4 missed call and 20 messages
Wow… J

I thought of a sweet reply and start typing in my mobile..
But something was wrong…
I was unable to type the message…
I tried and tried… But I was unable to... I was surprised and amazed what’s happening…

Then my roommate special (Vishesh) came and took the remote from my hand and said “so ja beta... And leave the remote, at least during sleeping”

Realizing that I was dreaming I checked my mobile... There was no message or call from her… I went to sleep again. Hoping something good will happen tomorrow.

Jeevan kya hai ?

Jeevan kya hai?
Behta pani, main bhi uski ek boond,
Saath bahe  ja raha hu.
Kuch gilli bunde hai,
Kuch sukhi pattiyan,
Sukhi pattiyon pe rakh kar pair, chale ja raha hu.
Kabhi kabhi khawish  karti hai yhe pattiyan bhi,
Bundo ki baris kuch inpar bhi pade,
Kuch isi tarah,
Khawiso ka daman thame , main b jiye ja raha hu

Jeevan kya hai?
Behti  hawa, main bhi uska ek jhoka,
Saath bahe jar aha hu.
Kuch  khuli hawa hai,
Kuch pinjre me panchi,
Pinjre me ho kar kaid, ude  ja raha hu
Kabhi kabhi khwasih karte hai  yhe panhci bhi,
Khuli  hawa ke jhoke me yhe bhi ude,
Kuch isi tarah,
Khawiso ka daman thame, main b jiye ja raha hu.

Ek anjani si – 3 “Friends”

[For better understanding of this story refer first & second part of “ek anjani si”]

Love changes….Life changes….time changes...

But friends, friends never changes… They remain the same with you throughout your life…

For me my friends are the most important than anything in life...They are always my first priority (of course after my girlfriendS)

But as I said- life changes, time changes...
The moment I graduated out of college and joined the corporate world life showed me an entirely new face. Right now I am working in Mumbai; similarly all my friends have also joined some company or the other and working in some part of India.

We corporate dogs usually give others an impression that we are very busy people having no time (but actually we have so much time that we are frustrated)

I have time, I have money but what I don’t have is friends with whom I can spend this time. (Not the money)
I am not saying that I have lost my friends. They do exist but all are in different cities…

Life becomes monotonous for me...Same road… same train... same office… (Same gals, same aunties)

Yesterday when I was in a train… I saw 2 groups of people…
First one consists of 3 girls and 2 boys sitting in one corner and the second one consist of 4 boys in another corner… They were talking continuously…
Because of them whole compartment was divided virtually into 3 groups…
These 2 laughing groups of human and the third one of robots which includes all other people in the train and there was a person observing all these- me (somewhere between humans & robots)

Those 2 groups were busy in themselves, not caring about others…
The third group was also behaving in the same way… busy in themselves, not caring about others…..
But there was a difference, the first 2 groups were just laughing and laughing on each sentence while the 3rd one was merely sitting or standing idle, not a single sign of liveliness. They were expressionless, emotionless... (Until their stop arrived)

And here I was behaving like a maniac… My eyes were laughing, but my lips were crying. My heart was smiling, but my mind was sad.
This created a kind of awkward situation for me… but who cares, robots (the third group) were anyways emotionless and the other lively groups are busy in themselves…Living their life… enjoying...

When I was in the college I was also the same. For me life meant fun. Fun meant friends.

This train journey reminds me of my college days, which was the best time of my life.  Where I met my best buddies Aakash YadavAbhilash PanigrahiAnkur Mishra and Anupam Kumar (I have just written name of these four in alphabetical order, all are equally close to my heart)

I was and I am the bond between them. I am the connecting N - Nilesh
Aakash n Abhilash n Ankur n Anupam…

As I said earlier; for us life meant fun. Fun meant friends. I still remember that day when one night at 11.30 pm I was on the phone call.
“Ok bhiaya, have you reached?

Ok... We are coming down in 10 minutes”

As soon as I hanged up, Anupam asked – “With whom you were talking? Are you going somewhere?”

“Yes, but not only me. We all are… Pack your bags. We are leaving in 10 minutes” I announced

“What?” all said in chorus

“Leaving, Where?”  Aakash asked

“That you all will come to know, just be fast, 1 minute is over already. Now you guys have only 9 minutes to pack your bags.” I wanted to take full advantage of the situation, adding up to the suspense.

And in the next 20 minutes we were on the road.
5 friends…Mid night...An open jeep… Rocking weather…
We were shouting… enjoying… everyone was happy… after all I planned this journey, remember. (If you are thinking that was the case then sorry to disappoint you, it’s not...)

The situation was actually like this…
After asking several times – where we were going and not getting a reply, Anupam and Abhilash were sleeping in the car (sleeping means literally sleeping)

Ankur was listening to music, plugged in to his headphone.
I was busy on the phone… (Chatting with Aakash`s girlfriend, although Aakash had no idea about that)
And Aakash, umm actually I don’t know what he was doing.

Thereafter at 2 pm, the real adventure starts, when our cab refused to go further. It stopped at the middle of the road, saying that she feels sleepy (there was some problem in the engine)...

Our driver said – “sorry sir, but it’s not possible to repair it at this time. I need to call a mechanic and that will not possible before morning “

Anupam and Abhilash got irritated (now they cannot sleep peacefully that’s y)

Anupam asked – “how far we are from our destination?”

“150 km” – I replied

Abhilash was really getting annoyed – “where the hell you are taking us and see this is your arrangement. Now how can we reach there?”

“Let’s walk” – Aakash suggested
Wow!!  What an idea… lets walk... after all its 150 km only. Easily we can reach there in 4-5 days” – this was Anupam, passing sarcastic comment.

“He mean to say that lets walk till we get some lift” – Ankur supported Aakash

So left with no choice we started walking. And walking and walking… Not finding any vehicle, passing by.
Suddenly God comes with a truck... We took lift from him

Actually that was the first part of our adventure…
3 am … 5 friends… A truck ride…

Now everyone seems like enjoying... (At least they are not showing their frustration)

The truck driver dropped us at a bus stop, near by our destination... (Near by means 40 km still remaining)

From there we catch a bus…
There were hardly any passengers in the bus…

But 4 of them caught our focus. (They were group of 4 girls)
They were also going to the same place.

By the way till this time everybody comes to know where we were heading for... we were going for beach (I forgot the name of that beach)

Aakash immediately started chatting with them, so as me.
Soon Abhilash and Ankur also joined us (after all they are also boys)
Anupam was busy in himself… Looking outside the window..

“Hey Anupam come here” – I called him

“No yaar you carry on, I am more interested in looking to these natural beauties” – he replied continuing looking outside.

I was not agreeing with Anupam, I think if you really want to see the beauty of nature then see a girl.

The actual reason because of which Anupam didn’t join us was he is in a committed relationship and his gf will kill him if she comes to know about this.

So leaving him with his natural beauties we all concentrated on our natural beauties. (The girls)

There after the so badly started trip turns into an awesome one…

We all formed a group. Those 4 hot girls (girls always look hot especially when they are in a beach), me- the only hot and handsome guy (This is my story, I can write whatever I want) and my 4 other friends.

We all enjoyed a lot in the beach… (You always enjoy when you are with girls... especially in beach)

For our return journey without taking any risk we choose train route... (Girls went back by bus, they were local ides)

Everybody was happy. They all said thanks to me for that trip since because of me only they got the chance to meet those girls…

Lucky I was, lucky we were.

Anyway, luck doesn’t favor you always…
That was old days... Now after coming to Mumbai I stopped even expecting such type of luck…

My train reached Thane station. It was raining kuttas and billis outside. It’s normal though, in Mumbai. (In fact it’s abnormal If its not)

I opened my bag to pull out my umbrella.
Shit...its not there...f*** (fish...Was concerned about my vegetarian fans and that’s why the *)

I had left my umbrella in the train…
Bad luck… (I said already nowadays luck stopped favoring me)
So I tried to run towards the bus stop to save myself from getting drenched.  But it was raining heavily, I was almost wet.

Hundreds of people were running along with me… (Its not that they also don’t have umbrella like me, but actually in Mumbai everybody runs only, no one walks)

Out of that crowd I saw a girl walking in front of me with her red color umbrella.
I approached her...

“Excuse me, can I share an umbrella with you”, I asked

“Why should I?”, she replied with a smile on her face..

“Because its raining and you are the most beautiful girl I can see here”, I tried to flirt

She smiled and said “you are still the same. How are you Nilesh” (yes she was that girl – ek anjani si )
(My luck is not that bad after all)

I said – “you can imagine how I can be after that letter”

She winked – “ya I can understand”
We both started laughing thereafter...
(finally God gave me another chance.. she is now with me .. standing right in front of me… )
This time I will not miss a single chance – I decided to ask her for a coffee…
