[For better understanding of this story refer first & second part of “ek anjani si”]
Love changes….Life changes….time
changes...
But friends, friends never
changes… They remain the same with you throughout your life…
For me my friends are the most
important than anything in life...They are always my first priority (of course
after my girlfriendS)
But as I said- life changes, time
changes...
The moment I graduated out of college
and joined the corporate world life showed me an entirely new face. Right now I
am working in Mumbai; similarly all my friends have also joined some company or
the other and working in some part of India.
We corporate dogs usually give
others an impression that we are very busy people having no time (but actually
we have so much time that we are frustrated)
I have time, I have money but
what I don’t have is friends with whom I can spend this time. (Not the money)
I am not saying that I have lost my friends. They
do exist but all are in different cities…
Life becomes monotonous for me...Same
road… same train... same office… (Same gals, same aunties)
Yesterday when I was in a train…
I saw 2 groups of people…
First one consists of 3 girls and
2 boys sitting in one corner and the second one consist of 4 boys in another
corner… They were talking continuously…
Because of them whole compartment
was divided virtually into 3 groups…
These 2 laughing groups of human
and the third one of robots which includes all other people in the train and
there was a person observing all these- me (somewhere between humans &
robots)
Those 2 groups were busy in
themselves, not caring about others…
The third group was also behaving
in the same way… busy in themselves, not caring about others…..
But there was a difference, the first 2 groups
were just laughing and laughing on each sentence while the 3rd one was
merely sitting or standing idle, not a single sign of liveliness. They were expressionless,
emotionless... (Until their stop arrived)
And here I was behaving like a
maniac… My eyes were laughing, but my lips were crying. My heart was smiling,
but my mind was sad.
This created a kind of awkward
situation for me… but who cares, robots (the third group) were anyways
emotionless and the other lively groups are busy in themselves…Living their
life… enjoying...
When I was in the college I was
also the same. For me life meant fun. Fun meant friends.
This train journey reminds me of
my college days, which was the best time of my life. Where I met my best buddies Aakash Yadav, Abhilash Panigrahi, Ankur Mishra and Anupam Kumar (I have just written name of these four in alphabetical order,
all are equally close to my heart)
I was and I am the bond between
them. I am the connecting N - Nilesh
Aakash n Abhilash n Ankur n Anupam…
As I said earlier; for us life
meant fun. Fun meant friends. I still remember that day when one night at 11.30
pm I was on the phone call.
“Ok bhiaya, have you reached?
Ok... We are coming down in 10
minutes”
As soon as I hanged up, Anupam
asked – “With whom you were talking? Are you going somewhere?”
“Yes, but not only me. We all
are… Pack your bags. We are leaving in 10 minutes” I announced
“What?” all said in chorus
“Leaving, Where?” Aakash asked
“That you all will come to
know, just be fast, 1 minute is over already. Now you guys have only 9 minutes
to pack your bags.” I wanted to take full advantage of the situation, adding up
to the suspense.
And in the next 20 minutes we
were on the road.
5 friends…Mid night...An open
jeep… Rocking weather…
We were shouting… enjoying…
everyone was happy… after all I planned this journey, remember. (If you are thinking
that was the case then sorry to disappoint you, it’s not...)
The situation was actually
like this…
After asking several times –
where we were going and not getting a reply, Anupam and Abhilash were sleeping
in the car (sleeping means literally sleeping)
Ankur was listening to music,
plugged in to his headphone.
I was busy on the phone… (Chatting
with Aakash`s girlfriend, although Aakash had no idea about that)
And Aakash, umm actually I
don’t know what he was doing.
Thereafter at 2 pm, the real
adventure starts, when our cab refused to go further. It stopped at the middle
of the road, saying that she feels sleepy (there was some problem in the
engine)...
Our driver said – “sorry sir,
but it’s not possible to repair it at this time. I need to call a mechanic and
that will not possible before morning “
Anupam and Abhilash got irritated (now they
cannot sleep peacefully that’s y)
Anupam asked – “how far we are
from our destination?”
“150 km” – I replied
Abhilash was really getting
annoyed – “where the hell you are taking us and see this is your arrangement.
Now how can we reach there?”
“Let’s walk” – Aakash
suggested
“
Wow!! What an idea… lets walk... after all its 150
km only. Easily we can reach there in 4-5 days” – this was Anupam, passing
sarcastic comment.
“He mean to say that lets walk
till we get some lift” – Ankur supported Aakash
So left with no choice we
started walking. And walking and walking… Not finding any vehicle, passing by.
Suddenly God comes with a
truck... We took lift from him
Actually that was the first
part of our adventure…
3 am … 5 friends… A truck ride…
Now everyone seems like
enjoying... (At least they are not showing their frustration)
The truck driver dropped us at
a bus stop, near by our destination... (Near by means 40 km still remaining)
From there we catch a bus…
There were hardly any
passengers in the bus…
But 4 of them caught our
focus. (They were group of 4 girls)
They were also going to the
same place.
By the way till this time
everybody comes to know where we were heading for... we were going for beach (I
forgot the name of that beach)
Aakash immediately started chatting
with them, so as me.
Soon Abhilash and Ankur also
joined us (after all they are also boys)
Anupam was busy in himself… Looking
outside the window..
“Hey Anupam come here” – I
called him
“No yaar you carry on, I am
more interested in looking to these natural beauties” – he replied continuing
looking outside.
I was not agreeing with
Anupam, I think if you really want to see the beauty of nature then see a girl.
The actual reason because of
which Anupam didn’t join us was he is in a committed relationship and his gf
will kill him if she comes to know about this.
So leaving him with his
natural beauties we all concentrated on our natural beauties. (The girls)
There after the so badly
started trip turns into an awesome one…
We all formed a group. Those 4
hot girls (girls always look hot especially when they are in a beach), me- the
only hot and handsome guy (This is my story, I can write whatever I want) and
my 4 other friends.
We all enjoyed a lot in the
beach… (You always enjoy when you are with girls... especially in beach)
For our return journey without
taking any risk we choose train route... (Girls went back by bus, they were
local ides)
Everybody was happy. They all
said thanks to me for that trip since because of me only they got the chance to
meet those girls…
Lucky I was, lucky we were.
Anyway, luck doesn’t favor you
always…
That was old days... Now after
coming to Mumbai I stopped even expecting such type of luck…
My train reached Thane station. It
was raining kuttas and billis outside. It’s normal though, in Mumbai. (In fact it’s
abnormal If its not)
I opened my bag to pull out my umbrella.
Shit...its not there...f*** (fish...Was
concerned about my vegetarian fans and that’s why the *)
I had left my umbrella in the train…
Bad luck… (I said already nowadays
luck stopped favoring me)
So I tried to run towards the bus
stop to save myself from getting drenched.
But it was raining heavily, I was almost wet.
Hundreds of people were running
along with me… (Its not that they also don’t have umbrella like me, but
actually in Mumbai everybody runs only, no one walks)
Out of that crowd I saw a girl
walking in front of me with her red color umbrella.
I approached her...
“Excuse me, can I share an umbrella
with you”, I asked
“Why should I?”, she replied with
a smile on her face..
“Because its raining and you are
the most beautiful girl I can see here”, I tried to flirt
She smiled and said “you are
still the same. How are you Nilesh” (yes she was that girl – ek anjani si )
(My luck is not that bad after
all)
I said – “you can imagine how I
can be after that letter”
She winked – “ya I can
understand”
We both started laughing thereafter...
(finally God gave me another
chance.. she is now with me .. standing right in front of me… )
This time I will not miss a
single chance – I decided to ask her for a coffee…
